Mary Turner Lane, 1918-2009

Mary Turner Lane earned a Master's degree in Education at UNC-CH in 1953 and remained there for thirty-two years. In addition to founding the women's studies program, Lane was instrumental in advancing women's rights on campus. Her obituary at the School of Education is here.
