New Online Guide to SOHP Collection Debuts

The 4,000 interviews in the Southern Oral History Program Collection can now be accessed via a new online finding aid with search capabilities. Interested in searching by interviewee occupation or ethnicity? These and other functions in the new system make locating relevant Collection interviews easier than ever.

Following extensive effort by the staff archivists of the UNC Library's Southern Historical Collection, home to the SOHP Collection, the new finding aid offers users a convenient means to search the collection by subject, interviewee name, occupation, ethnicity, or project/Collection subseries. Additionally, interviewees and interviewers may both be searched by name.

To access the new online finding aid, point your browser to www.lib.unc.edu/mss/sohp_interviewee. The Southern Historical Collection also maintains our traditional SOHP Collection Finding Aid. Here you will find invaluable descriptions of the Collection, its series, and subseries.
